Fleet Management Fleet management is for monitoring a company's vehicle fleet live on your screen through vehicle tracking software. Fleet management covers a wide variety of vehicles including cars, vans, trucks, boats, trailers and plant equipment. Live vehicle tracking systems have a host of features available to manage your fleet more efficiently including, detailed journey reports, speed and mileage reports, fuel consumption reports down to PTO (power take off) switches which can monitor doors or sensors. Fleet management systems provide accurate reporting features which provide compliance with the duty of care act or benifit in kind legislation. There are many different vehicle tracking companies out there with different solutions to offer. There are two types of fleet management solution, software based and web based. The software based solutions are downloaded onto your computer and installed whereas the web based solutions are accessed via any computer connected to the internet via a website.
